Intermed Oncology was founded in 1978 and has since grown into a large hematology/oncology medical practice. We offer two locations to serve your needs. Our Homewood office is just a few miles from Ingalls Memorial Hospital and South Suburban Hospital. Our Tinley Park office is just minutes from Palos Community Hospital. Both offices are also in close proximity to St. James, St. Francis and Christ Hospitals. Our physicians are on staff at the following hospitals: South Suburban Hospital Ingalls Memorial Hospital Palos Community Hospital Christ Hospital and Medical Center St. James Hospital and Medical Center - Chicago Heights and Olympia Fields MetroSouth Medical Center (formerly St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center) Our practice has four full-time physicians, all board certified in oncology, hematology and internal medicine. We also have a full staff of oncology-certified nurses, medical assistants, laboratory and office personnel to serve you. Both offices have certified laboratory services. OFFICE HOURS Intermed Oncology Associates is open 7 days a week in order to meet the needs of our patients. Both offices open at 9 am. On Saturdays and Sundays, our Homewood office is the only office that is open; calls from Tinley Park office patients will be forwarded to nurses there. Our staff is familiar with patients from both sites. If you need to be seen on the weekend and you are a Tinley Park office patient, you will have to go to the Homewood office. When our office is closed, we have an answering service that can contact a doctor for you 24 hours a day should you need assistance outside of normal office hours.
